I was expecting a lot more out of this movie seeing how Harrison Ford was playing a cowboy, especially combining with an action icon we all love from James Bond, but to be honest it fell short of my expectations. The story itself wasn’t bad but they could have done a better job on making aliens look more mean. The part at the end where their spaceship sticks out of the ground was the worst – seems like they really rushed at the end to get the movie done. Overall I would give Cowboys and Aliens 3 stars, 1 for each actor, 1 for the story. Hopefully Dream House will be much better!
The alien craze continues and this time it isn’t the military called on to take the invaders out, it’s a posse of cowboys led by a mysterious high plains drifter and a grouchy cattle rancher. Director Jon Favreau has tossed aside his Iron Man shackles and made way for another comic book adaptation, bringing sci-fi flavor to the Wild West with Cowboys and Aliens.
